Rosemary Oil for Hair Benefits

Rosemary oil has been long renowned way back to the ancient days of beauty for its ability to grow and darken the hair. Today, Rosemary oil is little or sporadically known of in regards to its benefits for hair. Seemingly a 'magic' natural hair tonic, it is perfect for dry and thin roots. Yet, there's a multitude more of Rosemary Oil's benefits for your hair. They are:

  • It helps to lower DHT (dihydroxytestoserone) in the body, which in turn promotes that lovely hair growth that so many that know the oil speak of
  • Increases nerve growth factor to aid in healing damaged nerve tissue
  • Does indeed slow graying hair with repeated, long term use
  • Can help decrease hair shed after washing
  • The natural scent of rosemary oil used in aromatherapy (or even massaging it into your scalp for five minutes) can help lower cortisol, a stress associated hormone. This in turn, can make you feel calmer and more relaxed when used regularly, as stress can also lead to hair fall out and stunted hair growth, among other problems.

Other benefits not associated with hair growth:
  • Can help improve memory when applied to and around the scalp (diluted essential oil) or when inhaled (the scent) on a regular basis
  • Contains Iron, Calcium, and phytonutrients that can help the body protect your skin against sun damage
  • Has the ability to fight cancer cells within the body (**Check with your doctor or health care specialist before trying to treat any serious condition at home**)
  • Balances androgen and estrogen levels in the body
  • Soothes digestive issues and stimulates the flow of bile and aids in leveling out the microflora in your stomach
  • Aids by also stopping inflammation when herb is ingested or when applied topically
  • Is a fantastic hair disinfectant (*Not to replace a regular hair washing routine*)

Always, as a rule of thumb, make sure you get the non-synthetic, natural or organic grade rosemary oil or any other essential oil you are attempting to purchase. Not all oils are created equal, and some essential oils are synthetic or filled with 'filler scents' that simply smell like whatever oil they are trying to mimic. They don't carry the same natural benefits to your hair or body as the organic and nature-based oils do. With Rosemary oil, may your hair grow, your memory improve and your body be relaxed. Thanks for reading, and I hope this new essential oil introduction can greatly benefit your routine. Have a great day! 😊

**Always ask your doctor first before using Rosemary oil or any other essential oil if you are pregnant or nursing. Thank You.**
